Island Mission Outreach (IMO) is a Christ centered outreach for people living in the Philippines. Our specific area of focus is the municipality of Buruanga, in the province of Aklan. Buruanga is located on the Panay Island and is about 200 miles south of Manila.
In 2015, Buruanga Christian Fellowship (BCF) became a reality by God’s grace. The church strives to honor God and His people, with biblical teaching and service. Through prayer and support we have seen God do amazing things to His glory. Please join us in sharing the hope that we continue to experience daily because of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Ensuring that Provisions are Met.
Typhoons in Buruanga are unfortunately a reality. The area was severely impacted by a powerful storm last winter. We were able to distribute food to over 200 families. A year later the area was hit with Covid-19. The government implemented a mandatory quarantine. Families were required to stay indoors. Only one family member was allowed to travel outside with a pass. By God’s grace were able to serve the locals with rice and other essential foodstuff.
Reaching All for God’s Glory
IMO is reaching out to all in Buruanga. BCF continues to witness the power of God on the island. In addition to the children’s ministry we now have a youth and a ladies ministry. Whether it’s a child or the most respected elder on the island, we want all to have a deep foundational relationship with Jesus Christ. This can only happen with consistent discipleship. Solid biblical teaching is the cornerstone to a healthy body of believers.
