Typhoons in Buruanga are unfortunately a reality. The area was severely impacted by a powerful storm last winter. We were able to distribute food to over 200 families. A year later the area was hit with Covid-19. The government implemented a mandatory quarantine. Families were required to stay indoors. Only one family member was allowed to travel outside with a pass.
